Adirondack Margaritas
1 1/2 cups tequila
3 cups apple juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup Triple Sec
1/4 cup fresh squeeze lime juice
Mix all ingredients together in a 4-quart pitcher until thoroughly blended. Chill until ready to serve.
Serve over ice with a slice of lime garnish.
My note: This may not sound very tasty, but trust me, it's quite delicious (and very easy to knock back 2 or 3, especially after a long, hot day of working in the yard!). Cheers!

Mmmm. I bet they taste even better in the Adirondacks! We'll have to try one because in two short, although they will seem really long, weeks we will be done with our first year! I believe margaritas will be in order.
Chad & Cami - Hey guys! Wow, that year went by quickly, didn't it? Or did it? ;) And then you're off to Africa! Such exciting lives you lead. Enjoy the cocktails.
Ok, this sounds so good I'm going to have to try it. My son, a sophmore in high school, and I just penned our first Adirondack kids book, "Adirondack Nightmare: a Spooky Tale in the North Country" and there's 3 great, original Adirondack Recipes in it. Check it out at www.rebeccaleonard.com
Thanks for sharing!
Rebecca - They are quite good. Not your typical margarita taste, however. My husband loves them! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Good luck with your book (and your sprained ankles!).
I disagree with you. I think they sound REALLY tasty! What a unique recipe. Can't wait to throw back a few myself :)
Kristen - I guess the combo of apple juice and orange juice just doesn't sound like your typical margarita, but it is quite tasty. And very easy to suck down 2 or 3! Hope you get a chance to try them soon.
They sound tasty to me!
Kristy - Just perused your blog (again) and thought you might like to take a peek at one of my book blog posts about cookbooks (I came upon your Wordless Wednesday post today). Anyhow, go here if you're interested.
I've never been to the Adirondacks, but this sounds great to me!
Meg - I've never been to the Adirondacks, either. (Well, I've never been to Spain, but I've been to Oklahoma... Sorry. That song always pops in my head when someone says they've never been somewhere!).
It's currently 76, the sun's shining, and it's Friday. I'm mixing up a batch of these margaritas to enjoy while we grill our dinner. First AMs of the season!
Thanks for the invite and the yummy drink :) *raises glass to all the wonderful bloggers and readers out there*
